Time is a fundamental element in the design of a garden. At what time of year will the garden be experienced by the owners?
A garden for a house by the sea will be very different from that of the house in which we reside all year round, and will be designed to concentrate the best of itself in a limited period.
How long will it take for the garden to reach its maturity? This will determine the size of the plants we are going to choose, and obviously also their cost.
How long should the garden last? The materials chosen and the type of plants will be different for a garden that you want to pass on to your children compared to what we are going to do in a rented house.
