The Japanese garden is often imitated in a superficial way even in contexts that have nothing to do with the culture at the base of this artistic expression, in which symbolism and abstraction play a fundamental role.
An example of the art of the Japanese garden transposed into the contemporary world comes from the works of the artist Isamu Noguchi, who despite being American by birth, has been able to express the aesthetic vision at the basis of the oriental garden up to the most extreme abstractionism.
