The turf can be sown or planted using a ready-made lawn, or ‘rolled’.
The ‘rolled lawn’ has a cost approximately three times greater than planting. However, it is a lawn already formed and absolutely free of weeds.
Obtaining the same result with a sowing implies a whole series of operations to be performed: false sowing to eliminate any possible weed, rolling to favor the tillering of the culms, possible sowing to fill any faults.
In addition, the window available for good planting is limited to the autumn months, or early spring as a second option.
So for the same desired result the ready lawn is definitely to be preferred.
If you want a less perfect lawn then you can opt for planting, achieving economic savings.
