In many Western cities we are witnessing an interesting phenomenon: that of industrial areas in disuse that, within a few decades, have been recolonized by nature to become bizarre examples of natural parks.
In Berlin, the Natur-Park Südgelände was created where nature has regained possession of an old railway station now in disuse.
It is a fascinating place and much loved by Berliners, where nature and art coexist giving meaning and soul to the vestiges of the recent industrial past.
