The outdoor spaces of this large estate in the Tuscan countryside are characterized by a wide variety of environments, allowing for the design of a diversified garden with multiple uses.
The traditional building that constitutes the main villa is located on a hill overlooking the splendid surrounding countryside and recalls the most classic canons of a Tuscan country residence. Here, the design respects the stylistic features of an Italian villa garden, with the use of typical mediterranean plants and the alternation of panoramic views with greenery that delimit the spaces and enclose them from the eye.
On the other hand, the space with the swimming pool constitutes a more intimate place, in which a dialogue is established between the garden more in relation to the living space and the part of the estate left as woodland. The background greenery surrounds the pool and the flower borders giving further appeal to this area, such as the sense of protection given by the imposing silhouettes of the trees or the pleasure of hearing the sound of the wind through the foliage.
A further step in the transition from the more domestic garden to the natural setting of the site is represented by the vegetable garden and greenhouse area. Here, humbler materials are employed and plants closer to unspoiled nature are used, along with vegetables and aromatic herbs.
To accentuate the permeability between the vegetable garden and the woods, various passages have been created to foster relationships between the various parts of the garden and to allow visitors to experience different environments by moving within the same property.
